Barbara Stokes Believes In Restoring Lives
Green Homes Structures (‘GHS’) under the auspices of Stokes Development, LLC, is headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama and has constructed prefabricated residential homes and other style buildings in Minnesota, Virginia and the lower southern states like Florida, North Carolina, and Louisiana. In the company’s expansion plans, Barbara and Scott are opening a manufacturing plant in Cullman, Alabama. The plant helps the Cullman community with new jobs and better economic gains for the area. The Cullman city and country constructed a massive building called the Cullman Industrial Complex which the Stokes Development Green Homes Structures will occupy, and which was sold to Stokes Development. The first wave of employees will come from the Cullman community in jobs that involve sales, production or manufacturing, managers, and executives. Visit her Linkedin profile to know more.
In the new Cullman facility, Stokes Development GHS will manufacture up to 600 light-gauge steel homes every year. The homes can be made within two days and they will be constructed of innovative materials that are mold and mildew resistant and hurricane resistant. The UL materials to be used will come from Birmingham Alabama; Decatur, Georgia, and local Cullman supply services. The light-gauge steel to be used in the fabricated buildings will be made partially of recyclable material, all of which are eco-friendly and are light, yet durable to resist fire and winds. Barbara Stokes purposely built homes resistant to these incidences based on how safe she would want her family to be. For example, if an internal fire occurred in the home, the flames would automatically snuff out the flames. The safety of families is very important to Barbara Stokes and the company she has co-founded.
