Archives: Dr. David Samadi’s journey and success in the treatment of cancer
The separation of David Samadi from his parents and sister would teach him to be independent, and this has greatly influenced the person he is today. Just a teenager, David together with his brother Dan was forced to move to Belgium after the revolution in the year 1979. Even with the separation David did not give up and continued to study to achieve his dreams. His dream of becoming a doctor could have been shuttered, but with hard work and dedication Samadi had finished his first year at Stony Brook School of medicine and had received honors in just a short time. David Samadi’s journey as one of the most celebrated and innovative doctors had started, he later attended Montefiore Medical Center for his postgraduate degree and received training in Urology.

Archives: The Darker Image Of The Chainsmokers
The Chainsmokers began conquering the charts just over two years ago. The group is comprised of the musicians Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart. The pair recently played on January 30th of 2018 in New York at the Conrad. It was towards the beginning of 2015 when the Chainsmokers first cracked the top ten with Roses. This led to an unstoppable period that lasted for years. They scored with numerous songs including Paris, Don’t Let Me Down, Closer and Something Just Like This. Closer was in the number one slot for twelve straight weeks.
Their success was daunting and there was a lot of pressure for more Top 40 pop and EDM tunes. Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart chose a different path and entered a darker territory. Most of their fans came along although their most ardent supports had already entered this new territory. Sick boy was launched as a single and is a good representation of the new direction of the superstars. At the time Sick Boy was released the Chainsmokers had not launched anything for nine months. In the past they released a new song almost every month because they want to remain current.
Sick Boy started a new chapter for Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart. They have experienced a lot of growth both as people and artists. The lyrics of their music is a reflection of their generation and explains how they feel in relation to the rest of their generation. Their music is also about romance, the darker side of society and what is happening in the world and their lives. The duo admits they were a little angry and frustrated when they began creating Sick Boy. They felt like their lives has become a caricature and people only saw them for the things that were written or said about them. They realized they had to let go of this concept to move forward with their music.
They now consider the way they are relating to the world through their projections and social media. Part of their image is a story but the rest is left to interpretation. This was not arranged because it simply happened.

Sheldon Lavin has enjoyed a long and storied existence in the food processing industry. Lavin, who is now part of OSI Food Group, performs a number of functions for the company including being the active President, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of the company.
Lavin has worked in the industry since the 1970’s when he helped finance a family business that was to be called Otto & Sons. This business would grow exponentially and later become the company that is now known as the OSI Group.
Sheldon Lavin took a moment recently to answer a few questions regarding his experiences and insights into the food processing industry.
What Is It That You Like About Financial Consulting
My educational background was in the fields of finance and accounting and it had always been a dream of mine to work for a company that in fact owned. This field provided the perfect opportunity to realize my dream while working in a field I had known about.
How Did You Get Your Start In The Meat Processing Business
I played a part in arranging the financing for the Kolschowsky family when they opened their first plant to process meat on the west side of Chicago. The company was first named after its owner and was known as Otto & Sons. Different things happened over the years and I would eventually gain ownership of the company that is now known as OSI Group.
What Was Your Earliest Vision For OSI
From the start, my goal was to see the company grow to its fullest possible potential and to become a leader in the industry.
How Would You Quantify OSI’s Global Reach Today
OSI now maintains more than 80 facilities located in 17 countries across the globe. We concentrate mostly on meat and protein products but do produce a few vegetable items, baked goods, and sauces of various sorts.
Can You Speak A Little About The Culture At OSI
We are a close-knit group at OSI and I am extremely proud of everyone that works for us. The door to my office, along with my ear, is always available. We eat lunch together whenever at the corporate office and everyone is on a first name basis. For instance, I am known as either Sheldon or Shelly within company ranks.
What Do You See In The Company’s Future
I want to see a continued expansion along with the further career development of all the talented people that perform duties for us.

Archives: Lacey and Larkin devoted to human rights cause after the Arpaio pardon
When President Donald Trump pardoned former Sheriff Joe Arpaio in October last year, there was something that was an outcry from supports of human rights. The action did not go down well with the dictates of the human rights charter passed by the UN General Assembly. Joe Arpaio had committed crimes that could not have been allowed to go unpunished in any society that respects the rights of the people. Learn more about Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin: http://www.laceyandlarkinfronterafund.org/about-lacey-larkin-frontera-fund/jim-larkin/ and http://james-larkin.com/about/
Joe Arpaio had committed grave violations of human rights while he was the sheriff that even after leaving office, his actions are still raising eyebrows. Joe Arpaio was inhumane to say the least. He treated anyone who was not a legal citizen of the United States in a way no human being should be treated.
Joe Arpaio had been found guilty of racial discrimination before Trump pardoned him. He had been ordered by the courts in 2013 to change the way he was treating immigrants in the state, but he did not. He kept on doing the same things that the courts had cautioned him.
When he was brought back to the courts, he was found guilty and was to be sentenced for disobeying court orders. In such cases, the slightest sentence would have been six months. In August, Trump recommended that Arpaio is pardoned for the charges facing him. Now he is a free man who can live with other people as nothing happened. Joe Arpaio and President Trump share the same sentiments about immigration. They believe that the United States belong to natives only and no one from outside the country should be allowed to live in the country. Trump’s approach to immigration is similar to what Arpaio was doing.
He believes that anyone who does not have papers to live or work in the United States should be sent away even if it is in an inhumane way soon after taking over the government, Trump was on record saying there are people from some countries who would not be allowed to step on the US soil.
Trump is proud of the actions taken by Arpaio, and that is why he recommended his pardon. To him, there was nothing wrong with actions committed by Joe Arpaio since it is the same thing that he is doing, Trump had hinted during his campaigns in Arizona that he would be pardoning Arpaio, but not many people understood what he meant at the time. Now it has become clear that he meant setting Arpaio free.
Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin are journalists in Arizona who have used their whole career lives looking for better things for immigrants in the United States. Lacy and Larkin have a foundation known as Frontera Fund.
It is an organization they established after the courts granted them compensation of $3.75 million following case they had launched against their illegal arrest by Joe Arpaio. The group supports human right activists in Arizona do more in supporting the rights of the immigrants in the state. So far they have reached tens of other organizations.
